Suggested Running Routes

These running routes have been produced to encourage more people to become more active, increase general fitness and well being leading to participation into the runmiddlesbrough programme.

Please note that these routes are only proposed routes and you run them at your own risk, the starting points are only suggested and you may find a better alternative, each route has been measured using satellite navigation equipment and maps are not drawn to scale.

When running any of the routes we suggest the following safety guidelines:

  • The majority of routes are partly urban and you will need to break for traffic; please
    cross all roads with extreme care.
  • If possible run with a partner.
  • If possible carry a mobile and ID.
  • Wear reflective clothing particularly if running in the dark.
  • Some routes may not be suitable in the dark: please assess each one in daylight initially.
