1. Who can compete in the event?

Due to UK Athletics rules you must be aged 15 or over on the day of the race to compete in a 10k or 5k Road Race.
However anyone regardless of age can take part in our Fun Run. So if you’re looking for a fun day for the whole family together or you’re under 15 and still want to participate in a great event or raise money for a good cause then this is for you.

2. Where can I park on race day?

There will be several car parks located within walking distance of the start area. These will be announced along with a map closure to the race date.

3. How much does it cost to enter the race?

Entry for the 10k costs £15.00 or £13.00 if you're an affiliated runner.
Entry for the 3k Fun Run costs £7.00.
Family 3k Entry Fee £24.00 (includes 2 adults & a maximum of 3 children under 16).

Entry for the 5k costs £10.00 or £8 if you're an affiliated runner.

Entry for the 2k fun run costs £5.00

4. When will I receive my race pack?

If you apply early enough we anticipate the pack to be sent out two weeks prior to the race date. Late entries will need to pick their packs up from the Information Point located at the Athletes Village on race day.

5. What will my race pack include?

Your race pack will include your timing chip, race number, safety pins, baggage tag and your race day guide.

6. What will I receive upon completion of the race?

Upon completion of the race you will receive a goody bag including your medal and T-shirt.

7. How should I prepare for the race?

Please refer to the training section of this site for tips and practice routes in your preparation for the race.

8. Can I run the race to raise money for a charity?

Of course you can! In fact we actively encourage runners to raise money for worthy causes as nothing helps you get motivated like doing so. Please check our charities page here for links to these or alternately you may wish to run for a charity of your own choice.

9. Do I have to run without stopping?

No! The event is for people of all abilities elite and serious runners, joggers and people just aiming to get round.

10. What facilities are available? 

Toilets, baggage area, first aid, medical facilities and catering are all available at the Athletes Village. Water stations and medical help is also available along the route.
Unfortunately we are unable to supply changing and shower facilities. 

11. Can I have a refund if for whatever reason I can not run on the day?

Unfortunately your entry fee is non-refundable.

12. What happens if it rains?

The event will go ahead as planned. We will only cancel if there are severe weather conditions. Please make sure your suitably dressed for the event.

13. Will there be any entertainment?

Yes, we will have bands on the main stage in the Athletes Village as well as playing around the route itself.

14. What time should I arrive?

Due to road closures we recommend you arrive as early as possible. You will receive further information nearer the day.

15. How is my time recorded?

We use a Timing Chip system. So your time doesn’t start till you cross the line.
