Entries are now open for the Middlesbrough 10k & 3k fun run on Sunday 2nd September
Sunday’s Middlesbrough 5k and 2k runs proved to be the biggest and best yet, as a record number of almost 2,000 runners pounded the roads before crossing the finish line inside Middlesbrough FC’s Riverside Stadium.
Club runners, fundraisers and couch potatoes merged to take part in either the SABIC 5k Riverside Run or the Asda 2k Fun Run.
Both runs started and finished at Middlesbrough FC’s home ground, with a warm-up on the Riverside pitch and an Olympic marathon-style finish around the hallowed turf, with runners cheered on by friends and family from the stadium stands.
